Proceedings of International Scientific Conference Digital Competencies in Higher Education. Trends, Challenges and Perspectives
Abstrakti
This volume examines the role of digital transformation in reshaping higher education, the labour market, institutional policies, and teaching practices. Developed within the framework of the Erasmus+ CBHE project HOMO DIGITALIS, it brings together theoretical perspectives, empirical studies, institutional experiences, and practical approaches from Albania and the wider Western Balkans. The contributions address key issues such as artificial intelligence in higher education, digital employment, human resource management, inclusive education for students with disabilities, MOOCs and open educational resources, language technologies, digital humanities, cultural heritage, and multimedia applications. Particular attention is devoted to the integration of digital competencies into university curricula and to the relationship between the intended and attained curriculum. By combining research findings, case studies, and strategic recommendations, the volume highlights existing challenges and opportunities while offering guidance for strengthening institutional capacities, modernising teaching and learning, and preparing students for an increasingly digital society and labour market.
