The regulation of the “Qiriazi” University College was drawn up based on Law No. 80/2015 “On Higher Education and Scientific Research in Higher Education Institutions in the Republic of Albania”, in the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Sports, in the Statute of the “Qiriazi” University College, in the relevant decisions of the Senate, as well as in the current practice of university studies.
The content of the Regulations of the “Qiriazi” University College, apart from the introduction and definitions, is structured in sixteen chapters. They reflect, article by article, the general principles on which the regulation is based and a comprehensive system of rules that discipline the organization and institutional direction of the “Qiriazi” University College, the overall administration of the study programs and the organization of studies in all the aspects that characterize them up to the administration of the student database.
The regulations of the “Qiriazi” University College provide:
The set of rules and standards for organization and management at all levels of the College;
A coherent and operational framework on university studies;
Standard rules for the preparation, organization and administration of university studies;
Opportunities and spaces necessary for a flexible management of the main units (faculties) and within them of the basic units (departments).
In this context, in addition to the above legal and statutory basis, this Regulation serves for the drafting of the internal regulations of the faculties, regulations of the university study programs, regulations for the operation of the teaching secretariat, the library, protocol-archive and which as a whole complete the framework regulator of the activity of this institution. The regulation is designed to serve students, lecturers, other teaching staff and teaching assistants, as well as leading authorities at all levels. Users should note that this Regulation was prepared in a period when the sub-legal framework was being completed, therefore its specific aspects may undergo changes over time.
The regulations of the “Qiriazi” University College are based on Law No. 80/2015 “On Higher Education and Scientific Research in Higher Education Institutions in the Republic of Albania”, in the by-laws issued in its implementation, in the Statute approved by the Ministry responsible for education, as well as in the decisions of the Academic Senate of “Qiriazi” University College;
The object of this regulation is to define the standard rules for the organization and direction at all levels of the College, for the comprehensive administration of the study programs of the first cycle (Bachelor), of the second cycle of university studies (Professional Master and Master of Sciences), of professional studies after secondary education, as well as of the database. It has been drafted in accordance with the teaching plans of the study programs, but also respecting academic freedom, the rights and obligations of students, academic staff and assistants;
This Regulation is attached to the Statute and extends its effects on all teaching-research, administrative, operational units, students and staff of this College; The main and basic units of the College must harmonize their internal regulations and all activities in compliance with this regulation. They have the right to set additional criteria, but in no case should they be lower than the basic criteria of this regulation.
Basic units and main units have special internal regulations approved by the relevant governing bodies and authorities of the College. The internal regulations extend their effects to the relevant structures, governing bodies and authorities, academic and non-academic personnel and students. The internal regulations of the main constituent units regulate relations within them as well as relations with other units of the College. Basic units-departments have special regulations with effects within them, approved by the Dean of the relevant Faculty.
