Information on the Final Conference of the Erasmus+ Project “Key Action 3: Policy Reforms-EU 04 ‘Bologna Hub Peer Support – BHPS Project’”

Within the framework of the ERASMUS+ Program, for nearly two years, Bologna experts, representatives of higher education institutions, and the entire consortium of the project “Key Action 3: Policy Reforms-EU 04 ‘Bologna Hub Peer Support (BHPS Project)’” have been continuously engaged in improving the implementation of the key commitments of the Bologna Process across the European Higher Education Area.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Republic of Albania and with the support of the Peer Support team (Ms. Jelena Starcevic and Prof. Volker Gehmlich), organized the final conference of this project on May 25, 2022. The aim was to evaluate achievements, identify ongoing challenges, and lay the foundation for further cooperation in the future.

Qiriazi University College, represented by the Projects Office, Dr. Altin Kulli and PhD Lekë Pepkolaj, as part of the “Bologna Hub Peer Support (BHPS Project)”, participated and followed its proceedings. The conference took place in the form of an online workshop, through DAAD’s digital event platform (DAAD-Event-App).

Workshop Structure

The workshop was conducted as productive discussions, divided into two sections:

  • Section 1: “Sharing Achievements and Challenges”

  • Section 2: “Establishing Lines for Future Collaboration”

Section 1

In the first section, participants were divided into three working groups, focused respectively on:

  • Group 1: ECTS, Curriculum Development, and Use of Diploma Supplement
    Instructor: Prof. Robert Wagenaar

  • Group 2: Quality Assurance, Teaching, Curriculum Development, and Use of Diploma Supplement
    Instructor: Prof. Volker Gehmlich

  • Group 3: ECTS, Curriculum Development, and Use of Diploma Supplement
    Instructor: Prof. Sonja Mikeska

Section 2

The same strategy was followed in the second section: “Establishing Lines for Future Collaboration”, during which participants were divided into two different working groups.

Conclusion

The workshop concluded by highlighting the project’s most important achievements and defining concrete lines for future collaboration within the framework of the Bologna Process implementation.
