The Higher Professional College “Qiriazi” (KPL) is a main unit of University College “Qiriazi,” operating in the field of professionally oriented education and preparing professionals with practical skills.
It is composed of two departments:

Department of Food Technology and Tourism
The departments of the Higher Professional College “Qiriazi” (HPCQ) are units for the development of teaching and training, which include related fields and group the respective training courses. They are responsible for the study programs they offer and:

Encourage, plan, coordinate, develop, organize, and manage teaching and training activities.

Include at least five full-time members employed as teaching staff, of whom one or two hold a scientific degree or academic title.

When offering two-year programs with 120 ECTS credits, each department must have at least two lecturers with a scientific degree or academic title.

May also employ assistant teaching staff.
The departments of the Higher Professional College “Qiriazi” are basic teaching-research units that encompass homogeneous fields of study and group the corresponding teaching modules/courses. They:
- They promote, coordinate, and manage teaching activities, research, and third-party services, while respecting the academic freedoms of the staff.
- They enjoy full autonomy but also bear responsibility for the use of material and financial resources at their disposal.
- They are organized into teaching groups, which may also be solely research-based. The heads of these groups must hold at least the academic degree of “Doctor” and are appointed through a selection process led by an Ad hoc commission. The procedures for establishing the Ad hoc commission and for the selection process are defined in the Statute of the Higher Education Institution “Qiriazi.”

Structure and Assessment
The programs are accredited, organized into courses/modules, and evaluated with credits according to the ECTS system (60 credits per year for full-time students).
The programs are designed and approved by the departments, discussed at the directorate level, and approved by the Academic Senate of the College.
The Higher Professional College “Qiriazi” publicly announces the accredited programs before the beginning of admissions.
The programs include:
- General information about the program, its form, objectives, curriculum, and required credits.
- Classification of the program according to the national qualifications framework and admission requirements.
- Methods of student assessment and conditions for academic progress within the program.
- Conditions for transfers between programs and conditions for partial completion of the program, if such provisions are foreseen.
