Qiriazi University College was established as an obligation to honor the names of its three founders: the Qiriazi sisters and Kristo Dako, who are at the same time both our distinctive emblem and icons of our national education. They are the “trinity” who left an indelible mark on the historiography of Albanian education, turning Qiriazi University College into an educational institution with a history that makes a difference. At the celebration of this anniversary, the documentary “The Golden Jubilee” was presented to the attendees, along with the promotion of the book “The Golden Age of a University.” The program continued with presentations at the historical symposium, alongside an exhibition of historical photographs, prepared under the care of the General Directorate of Archives. The 100th anniversary celebration was honored by the presence of distinguished authorities from education, science, and politics, as well as friends and partners from Albania and abroad, representatives of chambers of commerce, and the pan-Albanian economic forum.

At this “Golden Jubilee”, Qiriazi University College awarded the title “Doctor Honoris Causa” to the Speaker of the Parliament of North Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi, with the following motivation: “For his outstanding contribution to the official recognition of the Albanian language, for the freedoms and rights of the Albanians of North Macedonia, for his wisdom and high intellectual and state-building values in defense of our national identity; for his spiritual ties with the icons of our national education, Sevasti & Parashqevi Qiriazi and Kristo Dako, who represent the historical legacy and continuity of Qiriazi University College.” The event concluded in a festive and welcoming atmosphere, with music and dances prepared with great love and professionalism by the students of Qiriazi University College.
