Department of Finance

The Department of Finance (DF) is the basic teaching-research unit, which covers homogeneous fields of study and groups the respective teaching modules.

The Department of Finance is a unit that:

  • Promotes, coordinates, and manages teaching activities, research activities, and third-party services, while respecting the academic freedoms of the academic staff.

  • Enjoys full autonomy and, at the same time, has the responsibility to utilize the material and financial resources at its disposal.

  • Offers students study programs in the field of finance and accounting, aiming at the professional education and scientific qualification of students in these areas.

The development of new study programs is carried out in accordance with the needs of society, existing conditions, and the country’s development prospects.

University study programs are organized in two successive levels: First Cycle and Second Cycle of studies.

Graduation at both levels of university studies ensures the preparation of specialists capable of contributing to solving technical problems in the field of finance.

The Department of Finance aims to provide a level of knowledge in finance and accounting sciences comparable to the diplomas awarded by analogous university structures abroad.

Studies at the Faculty of Economics, Department of Finance, are organized in the following graduation fields:

a. Finance (First Cycle of Studies – Bachelor)
b. Finance (Second Cycle of Studies – Professional Master)
c. Finance (Second Cycle of Studies – Master of Science)
