Why Qiriazi?

Qiriazi University College, with a 19-year history of success, is one of the first private higher education institutions in Albania.

Founded in 2006, honoring the name and legacy of three icons of Albanian national education — the Qiriazi Sisters and Kristo Dako — who in 1922 opened the Kyrias Female Institute in this very building. It was a "national nest" of its time, with extraordinary contributions to education in Albania. This is the sole and unique reason why the emblem of this College, today and in the future, will continue to reflect the bright history of these three distinguished national figures. ...

Our duty, along with the academic staff, is to rely on the best contemporary university models, harmonizing the best Western approaches with the updated demands of our youth and the Albanian reality. Our goals are to maintain high standards, with the near-term objective of adding a higher professional college as another key unit alongside the existing departments.
